Key Fetures
The cannula is guiding the electrode or the lead during the neurosurgery and preventing them from changing the trajectory.
Alpha Omega offers three types of cannulas: standard, tapered and insertion.
The difference between the standard and the tapered cannula is the inner diameter.
- The tapered cannula is intended for guiding Alpha Omega’s non-shielded electrode
- The regular cannula is for Alpha Omega’s shielded electrode and DBS lead.
- The insertion inner cannula is designed for guiding non-shielded electrodes and the outer cannula for guiding the DBS lead.
The cannula includes a stylet. The Stylet round shape tip is designed to minimize damage to the tissue when inserting the cannula.
